Lorraine Headley, Managing Director of Gee Gee Consulting
 
Lorraine developed her expertise in the tourism industry with senior positions in local and regional government and experience within the local hotel and tourism association. Throughout her professional career she has developed and maintained strong relationships with key leaders and decision makers in the Government. She has also maintained good relationships with key decision makers in regional and international tourism organisations and among the private sector in Antigua and Barbuda and in key markets including the United Kingdom, the United States of America and Canada. These key relationships provide her with a unique ability to get things done, access vital information and capitalise on opportunities that distinguishes Gee Gee Consulting from other consulting firms.
 
Lorraine commenced her career in tourism as a Tourism Economist at the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States overseeing a European Union funded Tourism Development Programme jointly marketing and promoting tourism investment opportunities for eight Eastern Caribbean countries. During an eight year stint at the Ministry of Tourism in Antigua and Barbuda, Lorraine held positions as Director of Product Development. She was subsequently assigned to the Antigua Hotels & Tourist Association as Manager of the Tourism Development Programme funded by the Canadian International Development Agency which focussed on improving research capacity, providing training in technical skills and customer service, and developing proposals to enhance small businesses in the tourism sector.
 
Lorraine most recently held the position of Director General of Tourism for Antigua and Barbuda and was instrumental in developing the island's brand and heightening the international positioning of the destination. In May 2006, Lorraine played an influential role in the Antigua and Barbuda tourism re-brand, ‘Where the beach is just the beginning...’ which has undeniably created global consistency, communicated a strong tourism message, and generated a sense of identity for the Antigua and Barbuda people.
 
Lorraine obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Economics from Girton College, Cambridge University and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of the West Indies with a focus on tourism management.
 
As a tourism and marketing professional with more than 15 years in the travel industry, Lorraine has the knowledge, experience, skills, tools and the resources to create effective strategies, profitable opportunities and comprehensive solutions for her clients.
